Our Brookdale College host families have been with us since the beginning. Brookdale is located in southern New Jersey about an hour’s drive from New York City. Its campus is located in a beautiful area of  Lincroft. Many of Brookdale College host families are located in Middletown and Red Bank. Our homestay students either commute to school each day from Red Bank, or their host families provide transportation.

IHPS can coordinate airport transfer from EWR, JFK or La Guardia, but the cost does vary depending on your time of arrival. Please contact us in advance to get the most accurate quote.

In the cities around Brookdale College, the summers are warm and humid, the winters are very cold and windy, and it is wet and partly cloudy year-round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 26°F to 84°F and is rarely below 13°F or above 92°F.

A favorite thing to do for many of our Brookdale College students in their free time is to head into NYC and explore the city, go shopping or catch a Broadway show. Many of our host families love taking their students into the city to show them around. It’s always a memorable experience for all involved. Commuting to “the city” from Red Bank by train is fairly easy. Typically, the train takes about 1 1/2 hours from Red Bank to Penn Station.
