San Diego homestay students pretty much live in a perfect climate year-round with plenty of sunshine and beautiful beaches to hang out at.

When eager to explore, our San Diego homestay students can easily access the Pacific Surfliner Train that can take them to downtown San Diego. When wanting to venture out of the area, students can head north as far as Santa Barbara or San Luis Obisbo on the Surfliner.

Our MiraCosta students attend the Oceanside campus, located about 40 miles from downtown San Diego. Oceanside is a large city in the county of San Diego. Palomar and Cal State San Marcos (CSU San Marcos) students are placed in the city of San Marcos. Both campuses are not far from each, and each school offers great programs for international students. Typically, our biggest intake for these schools is the spring session.

Public transportation is a BREEZE and is offered by North San Diego County’s bus system. With numerous routes to and from neighborhoods and destinations around North County, the BREEZE is a great way to commute to and from Palomar and CSU San Marcos.

The SPRINTER is another option for CSU San Marcos students as well as MiraCosta students.

IHPS Homestays offers “Meet and Greet’ airport pick-up service from San Diego Airport, which is about 45 mins from the schools in north county.
