Boston homestay students are considered lucky to study in one of the oldest American cities in the US AND a top 10 “Best Student City” in the world!

Boston offers a lot of attractions for its visitors, and students can keep themselves busy during their free time. The city is best known for its famous clam chowder, Fenway Park, The Freedom Trail, and The Boston Marathon.

Boston homestay students have the choice to study at many ESL schools and 2-year colleges. The largest community college is Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) which welcomes international students from over 100 countries annually. BHCC’s Charlestown campus is located in a waterfront neighborhood and is the oldest city in Boston!

During July, IHPS Homestays offers small groups a one-week “Boston Tour” which includes visiting several colleges and top attractions in the city. Email us for more information about our next tour date.

Boston homestay students typically fly into Boston Logan Airport. IHPS offers an optional “Meet and Greet”  airport pick-up service.

The public transportation system in Boston is great and fairly easy to navigate.  The MBTA offers a trip planner as well.

In Boston, the weather in summer is warm and humid. The winters are very cold. It’s a city where you will need a heavy coat, hat, gloves, and scarf!  Over the year, the temperature typically varies from 23°F to 82°F and is rarely below 9°F or above 91°F.
