Long Beach homestay student applicants attend Long Beach City College (LBCC) and California State, University Long Beach (CSULB).
Long Beach is located about 25 miles from the city of Los Angeles. Long Beach homestay students arrive from their home county at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). IHPS offers airport transfer for students who select this optional service.
LBCC is located in the city of Long Beach, which is considered an urban center near the Pacific Ocean. CSULB is about 5 miles from LBCC . International students wishing to learn English at CSULB will study at the American Language Insitute on campus.

Getting around Long Beach is fairly easy. Long Beach Transit is very convenient and offers a trip planner, although you will see many students in this area preferring to ride a bike or hopping on the FREE bright red Passport Shuttle that offers service to major Long Beach attractions and cultural attractions.
